How Would You Respond To These Situations ?
Situation number one.
A preacher and his wife are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she is pregnant again with the 15th child. They are living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the ever-growing world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?
Situation number two.
The father is sick with sniffles,the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she’s pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?
Situation number three.
A white man raped a 13 year-old black girl and she’s now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?
Situation number four.
A teenage girl is pregnant. She’s not married. Her fiance’ is not the father of the baby, and he’s upset. Would you recommend abortion?
In the first case , you would have killed John Wesley , one of the great evangelists in the 19th century.
In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.
In the third case, you could have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.
If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ!
God is the author of life, and he has given every single individual Supreme value.
Each life whether inside or outside the womb should therefore be valued by us.
God knows the plans he has for each individual and has written in His Book all the days He ordained for us, before any of us came to be.
When we presume to know better than God, who should be given life, we are putting ourselves in the place of God and are therefore guilty of idolatry.
Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
God’s word repeatedly teaches that a child is alive in the womb, and abortion is therefore murder.
Psalm 139:13-16 NKJV
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.  I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.  My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
Job 10:8-12 NKJV
‘Your hands have made me and fashioned me, An intricate unity; Yet You would destroy me.  Remember, I pray, that You have made me like clay. And will You turn me into dust again?  Did You not pour me out like milk, And curdle me like cheese,  Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews?  You have granted me life and favor, And Your care has preserved my spirit.

What then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him?  Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?
