Though One Cries Out To It, Yet It Cannot Answer Or Save Him Out Of Trouble.

People fill the sports arenas every weekend and scream and yell like a bunch of Comanche Indians for their favorite sport teams. At the end of their seasons and after the championship games or matches, these various organizations such as NBA, NFL, PGA, MLB, NHL, etc…all have their team trophies for the champs. It’s amazing how they pass the trophies around, kiss on them as they are alive, touch them in awe and wonder, kneel down to them, and worship these trophies which are dead.

Then at Church on Sunday, If there is not a game, the few who do show up, sit in silence like dead wooden Indians, when The Preachers speak about The Kingdom of God.

This is not an opinion, it’s right here in Gods Word. Have you ever witnessed the trophy worship?

Isaiah 46:5-10 NKJV
“To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal And compare Me, that we should be alike? [6] They lavish gold out of the bag, And weigh silver on the scales; They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god; They prostrate themselves, yes, they worship. [7] They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it And set it in its place, and it stands; From its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer Nor save him out of his trouble. [8] “Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors. [9] Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, [10] Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’

People reject God’s Word and His description of how He created the heavens and the earth, and people would rather accept the nonsense of evolution and naturalism. Human beings embrace the goddess of environmentalism, calling it mother nature, and fool themselves into thinking they can preserve the earth indefinitely when God has declared the earth has a limited lifespan and will last only until the end of the age. At that time, He will destroy all that He has made and create a new heaven and new earth.

Isaiah 55:6-11 NKJV
Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. [7] Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. [8] “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. [9] “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. [10] “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, image

[11] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Matthew 16:26 NKJV
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matthew 6:24 NKJV
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Jeremiah 17:7-13 NKJV
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. [8] For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. [9] “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? [10] I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. [11] “As a partridge that broods but does not hatch, So is he who gets riches, but not by right; It will leave him in the midst of his days, And at his end he will be a fool.” [12] A glorious high throne from the beginning Is the place of our sanctuary. [13] O LORD, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You shall be ashamed. “Those who depart from Me Shall be written in the earth, Because they have forsaken the LORD, The fountain of living waters.”
