Wherever We Are

John 6: 63-65 KJV
[63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. [64] But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. [65] And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Every day we are surrounded by people in our neighborhood, at the gas station, grocery store, basketball court, at the gym, on our jobs, or wherever our travels take us, who have not accepted the Good News of Jesus Christ.

But have they rejected the Gospel?

Have they ever heard the Gospel?

If we’re not careful, it is easy to say to ourselves:

“Why bring up Jesus Christ?

Hasn’t everyone already heard about Him and made up their minds?”

Even in this age of virtually unlimited access to information, I am still shocked by the number of people who do not clearly understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So I don’t quit trying. You should not stop witnessing either. Never stop telling people about God’s plan for salvation and eternal life. The next person you meet may be the one who needs Jesus right now. Love cannot remain silent. Without Jesus Christ, a person is condemned already.

Paul says, “Not everyone will accept the Good News, and not everyone will believe our message.”

Acts 28:24 KJV
And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

Does that excuse us from trying?

Not as far as I am concerned.

What about you?

2 Timothy 1:7-10 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. [8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; [9] Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, [10] But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Acts 11:21 NKJV
And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.
